BarwonHeads.com.au is an independently operated visitor guide for Barwon Heads, Victoria. This page explains what information the site collects and what is done with it. We have tried to keep it short and specific rather than comprehensive and vague.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and which site you arrived from. It does not tell us who you are. Google sets cookies to do this. You can opt out for every site you visit using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Anything you send us. If you use the contact form we receive whatever you type into it, including your name and email address, so we can reply. We keep those messages only as long as we need them to deal with what you asked about.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, including IP addresses, as part of running the service and protecting it from abuse.
The accommodation search sends you to Wotif through the Partnerize affiliate network. Once you follow that link you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not ours. See our terms of use for the affiliate disclosure.
Business listings link to the businesses' own websites and social media pages. We are not responsible for what those sites do with your information.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site will keep working. If you have sent us a message and want it deleted, ask us through the contact page and we will remove it.
